Allocation Volunteer Opportunities - Who decides where the money goes? YOU… and concerned, caring people like you!

Each year the United Way recruits community volunteers to allocate funds in support of area health and human services. Volunteer's help to ensure that contributors dollars are distributed in an accountable, responsible manner. This is achieved through reviewing the programs and budgets of agencies and making funding recommendations to the United Way Board of Directors.

Volunteers annually participate in one of 9 panels that are organized by broad categories of service. Each panel is comprised of 8-10 volunteers, reflecting the diversity of our community.
