Enter United Way of Greater Waterbury's 80's Photo Contest!

United Way of Greater Waterbury is celebrating 80 years of impact!  Why a 1980's photo contest?  Because hey, it has '80' in it - and it'll be fun!  The 1980's were also a milestone United Way decade, seeing the launch of the Leavenworth Society, the first woman to chair the campaign (Jaci Carroll), and more! It was also a decade of MTV, Jazzercize, Ferris Bueller and more. So let's do this!



  1. Enter your most entertaining 80's photo on the form below and make a $5 donation to register. Dress up and be creative - whether props from a photo booth, clothes from a thrift shop, or an actual photo from the 80's, we want to see you! (group photos accepted too!)
  2. Upload the photo* from the instructions provided after registration.
  3. Once the gallery is available, encourage your family, friends and coworkers to vote for your photo with a $1.00 donation.  Votes will be collected through April 1, 2023.
  4. The 3 photo's with the highest number of votes will officially be declared the winners!
*Please use tasteful judgement when submitting photos.  Photos deemed inappropriate will not be posted for voting.


The top 3 photos with the highest number of votes will be recognized on our website, in social media, and our Enewsletter!

PLEASE NOTE: photo name must match name on your registration. When voting begins, United Way reserves the right if submissions have overlapping names (i.e. multiple John Doe's) to rename photo 'John Doe 1' 'John Doe 2' etc.
