Stock the Pantry 2020 Has Gone Virtual
Stock the Pantry is an annual initiative that is held to directly help local food pantries stock their shelves with healthy foods for the summer months. Here at United Way of Greater Waterbury, we’ve had to adjust our plans to help keep everyone safe while still meeting this greater need in direct response to the effects of COVID-19.

“WHAT WILL MY MONETARY DONATION REALLY DO TO HELP?”
Monetary donations supply more healthy food for people in need and allows for the freedom of food pantries to buy what is needed most. They’re able to stock their shelves with priority food items, while being able to purchase large quantities at a discounted price.
The average cost of a single meal in Connecticut is $3.27
You can feed 20 times more families by providing cash as opposed to cans
A $25 donation is able to provide 7 meals to someone in need
